Overview

The EDIReport action generates and submits Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) reports for workers' compensation claims to state regulatory agencies and trading partners. This is used for ongoing statutory reporting requirements beyond the initial First Report of Injury (FROI).

When executed, the EDIReport action:

  1. Retrieves claim data from the record specified by domainName and domainKey
  2. Packages the data into EDI-compliant format (typically IAIABC standard)
  3. Submits the transaction to the configured state agency or trading partner
  4. Processes the response (accepted, rejected, accepted with errors)
  5. Records the submission status on the claim
